To Germany, others. An official apology,©2005 www.killing-joke.com / Jester Ok folks, here is the deal. I just talked with Matt and Raven on this. Was a bit of a strain, as Paul was headed into the tunnel on a train and we kept breaking up. He was heading from the studio. Ok, first, what happened with Germany. The band and management cancelled all the German shows three weeks ago, when word came in that the Zillo festival got cancelled. It was suppose to have been the agents/promoters duty to have alerted ticket buyers that these shows were cancelled. Obviously they did not. |
Killing Joke and Management didn't find out till the night before the tour was to begin, that the promotions teams in Germany still was promoting the show as being on. Matt also expressed how horribly sorry he is for not getting in touch with me and letting me know what happened so that I could inform all of you. He does accept the full responsibility for not keeping the web presence in tune with what all was going on, makes absolutely no excuses, and I figure he is writing up a personal apology to you guys as well, and either I or he will post here. Raven was really upset that all the fans were hurt in this, and sends his and the bands apologies as well. We are definitely working on a more reliable way of communication, so in the future, this wont happen again. As for Torrid Times...yes that was discussed as well. We are deciding on what we will present in the issue, and how to lay it all out. We are mainly waiting on is word form the band. So, that should..should be out soon. I give you guys my word on that...even if I have to post something myself. I know a lot of you have been so kind as to hope for a benefit for me. Both Raven and Matt have said the same thing...and I have possible dates and such. I just cant say anything at this point, because things are still working out. So, lets keep hoping. They are still working on the album, not sure when it will be out, and we are all use to that. thing is, it WILL be out. We are now focussing on getting the sites updated and in better shape. Again, the band and Matt apologize for all that happened over the past week or so. Please feel free to visit the current message boards HERE. |
Inertia frontman Reza Udhin has joined Killing Joke. Reza has taken over playing keyboards with the band, replacing Nick Walker, who was with the band for 11 years. Reza is otherwise known as the lead singer of Industrial band Inertia. |

Killing Joke, The Latest News©2005 www.killing-joke.com The band is wrapping up and putting finishing touches on the new album (due out by the end of summer 2005) in Prague. The new "official" site should launch soon, but I do not currently have an ETA as to the exact date. All I can say is just keep checking. There are 'plans' for an extensive tour, though nothing is set in stone just yet. I do know that there are ideas of hitting the summer festivals around, but will keep everyone updated with any new developments. |
A large portion of back catalog is going to be rerelased and remastered, with the exception of Extremities, and the Courtauld Talks. There will be new artwork and an 18 page booklet with the reissues, and they will be reissued under the Cooking Vinyl label. The Gems of Power CD, spoken word album with Coleman and Raven, has been complete for sometime now, but they are still shopping for the best deal on a label to put it out. Shopping for a label whilst recording a new, full Joke album, obviously is not the absolute top priority, and will resume in full force shortly. So those that have already ordered, please continue to be patient. Your continued support and patience is very much appreciated. Please feel free to visit the current message boards HERE. |
